This Microsoft Student Partners is a programme to encourage students who are interested in building a closer relationship with Microsoft, and those who are simply hooked on technology, to develop their skills further.
The programme is designed to help students realise their potential with Microsoft software and become even more successful when they leave university and enter the IT industry. This programme is the cornerstone of a larger commitment by Microsoft to increase both the awareness and usage of the Microsoft .NET platform and its associated developer technologies such as Microsoft Visual Studio .NET on university campuses across the world.
What do you do as a Microsoft Student Partner?
We require Student Partners to undertake a range of voluntary activities throughout the year which are designed to give you not only real world experience but also to compliment your existing studies. There are a huge range of activities and below are some of the specific goals for 2007:
Organise and carry out 3 presentations/seminars per semester
Organise and carry out 1 Student Social Activity per semester
Support Imagine Cup 2007 activities on your campus
Support MSDNAA activities on your campus
Support Xbox activities on your campus
Support Microsoft activities on your campus including Orientation 2007

Who are we looking for?
An enthusiastic individual who is passionate about information technology; Someone who is interested in establishing a fantastic relationship with Microsoft and representing their students and department in New Zealand. He/She must be currently enrolled FULL TIME in an IT/IS/IM/CS/Software Eng degrees.
